Carved with a wider base for stability and slightly wider bell, our signature wooden mushroom is now available as a stool! Each hand-carved mushroom is unique and full of character. As the wood ages and moisture leaves, you can expect moving and cracking. This will only add to the beauty of the piece.
Product shown here in Whitewash finish. Product will vary from photo -- each piece is different
Standard sizing ranges from 18"-20” tall, 16"-18" diameter with a 6-8" wide base. We would recommend securing your stool to the floor if your kids like to climb like ours do!
Available in natural (pictured in first photo), whitewashed and Shou Sugi finishes as well as a curved or flat top based on if you're using them as a sculpture or a seat. Finished with a spar urethane.
All of our products are made by hand in Northwestern Montana. Production time is currently approximately 2-3 months out for all mushrooms.
Due to the custom and unique nature of our work, we do not accept returns based on appearance or cracking, unless the item is broken or loose.
If your piece does develop a crack that concerns you, we will be more than happy to discuss possible options and offer basic repairs for no extra charge. This does not include shipping, so you will need to bring/ship your piece to our shop in Kalispell, Montana. If traveling here with your piece isn't an option, we can absolutely talk you through the process at home.

Mushroom Stool
Carved wood of this size will be affected by humidity and heat (or lack of) no matter how long it has been drying, and cracking and crazing is to be expected, sometimes up to an inch. This will not affect the structural integrity of your piece. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding this before purchase.
Please use a trivet or coaster as some pieces may be affected by hot/cold objects and moisture. It is recommended to make sure there is sufficent air flow beneath your furniture using felt feet or blocks, especially if placing on rugs or carpet because wood retains some amount of moisture for years.
If you would like to purchase and are outside of the continental US, please send an email with products, quantities and address to beckandcap@gmail.com
